Dallas Area Interior Designer: A Day in the Life of a Woman-Owned Business
Y’all, I am beyond excited to be filming for my YouTube design show that premieres March 13! It’s no lie that I’m working harder at more things than I ever have in my life. Like many of you, I start early and fit kajillion things in each day–but it’s all good!
Want to see a sketch of a typical Day in the Life of a Woman-Owned Business? Hold onto your hats!
5 am- The alarm goes off. Get up, girl, and work out. Watch new YouTube show with edits on the elliptical.
7 am – Get the kids ready for school, take them and get ready for a full day that starts (oh boy) with…
9 am – Dentist checkup
Done just in time for a 10 am meeting with Dove’s Nest, a restaurant & gift shop on the Waxahachie square to start planning Wine and Design, a design workshop partnership on April 28.
And–an 11 am interview over coffee with a potential new hire for Courtney Warren Home.
12 noon–Drive to Waco, taking a call on the way with Better Homes and Gardens about an upcoming feature.
1 to 5 pm–Brainstorming meeting with two creative friends for my new YouTube channel. We hash out the next episode outline to film.
6 pm–Arrive home and join my family for dinner. Homework and get ready for the next day.
8:30 pm–Bedtimes and we retire to watch our favorite Netflix show. We probably fall asleep and wake up later to turn out the lights. (What, you do that too?)
Whew! Whirlwind day full of the activities and people I love. It’s not always easy to keep all the moving parts in sync, but I love what I do, which is helping my clients love their homes!
If you live in the DFW area, here’s some good news! For my new YouTube show, I am accepting submissions from individuals or families that need a home/room refresh or even a total makeover! If you are interested in submitting your home for consideration in this new series, please email hell[email protected] with the subject “YouTube Makeover”.
